英語で福島！ 英国好きの皆様、お待たせです。
赤の赤ベコと青のおきあがりこぼしさんの旅。
今回は、ブリティッシュヒルズに遊びに行ってきました。
福島県 羽鳥国立公園内にあるパスポートのいらない英国ですよ。
British Hills is located in a forest, in Hatori Natural Park,
Fukushima.
12世紀～18世紀の中世英国の雰囲気漂わせる建物。
まるでハリーポッターの世界でしょう。 素敵すぎる。
It have been reconstructed based on the British architectural styles
between the 12th and 18th Centuries
I felt like a Harry Potter's world.It was sooo coool.
ここは、スコットランドのハイランド地方に近い天候なんだそうです。
British Hills has a similar climate to The Highlands of Scotland
located about 1,000 meters above sea level.
始めは、ちょこっと英国マナー講座でも受けようかなと思っていたんだけど、
予定変更。
だって、散歩だけで楽しいんだもんね。
一日中ずっとブリティッシュヒルズにいたとさ。
We spent a WHOLE day at the British Hills.
I was thinking of taking Engish course to learn British manner
but I changed the plan and walked around the forest, which was so fun!

みなさんこんにちは。
会津若松市より英語で福島です。
Do you know Sazae-do in Mt.Iimori Aiduwakamatsu
飯盛山のさざえ堂ってご存知ですか？
It is a temple noted for its unique, turban shell shape.
Visitors climbing up stairs never come across others walking down the stairs from the top.
It is one of only a few stair case in the world .
さざえ堂のお寺の中には、上り下りするためのらせん階段があります。
ぐるぐる。のぼったりおりたり。
参拝者は一度も他の人に出会うことなく、
一方通行で堂内を参ることができるという世界的にも珍しい建物です
二重螺旋階段が知られている、レオナルド・ダヴィンチのアイデアが、
めぐりめぐって会津地方まで伝わったのではないか・・・
Some believe Leonardo da Vinci designed the staircase,
but this is as of yet, unconfirmed
うぅむ、これは行ってからのお楽しみですね。

甲冑競馬（KACHU-KEIBA ）
500騎の甲冑騎馬武者が出場し剣と手綱を持ち、先祖代々の旗をなびかせながら、
疾走する甲冑競馬がスタートします。
In this historical event, 500 mounted samurai in traditional Japanese armor, with long swords at their side and ancestral flagstaffs streaming from their backs, ride across open fields
神旗争奪戦（SHINKI SODATSU-SEN）
神旗争奪戦とは、ロケット花火で2本のご神旗を打ち上げ、
降りてくるところを騎馬武者が奪い合う戦いです。
A firework rocket sends two flags into the sky to drop down on the waiting horsemen.
They are trying to catch the goshinki (god flags)
相馬市は2011年の震災で大きな被害を受けています。
福島第一原発事故による避難区域を含んだ市です。
家族を失い、自分の馬もうしなった騎馬もたくさんいることでしょう。
でも、まるで震災がなかったかのような雰囲気でした。
相馬の人たちは、このお祭りに対して強い思いを持っているのだと思います。
SomaCity was heavily damaged by the earthquake and tsunami on March 11th 2011 and includes the nuclear evacuation zone.
Many of horseback riders lost their family members, houses and horses.
The mood itself looked like no earthquake damage
People living in Minami Soma have strong feelings for the festival.

先週末7月28日（日）は南相馬へ。
相馬野馬追（のまおい）を見に行ってきました。
とても素晴らしいお祭りでした。
興奮冷めやらぬうち、福島県が誇るすばらしい伝統行事を
2回にわたって、みなさんにお伝えします。

相馬野馬追 世界に伝えたい伝統の祭り
相馬野馬追いは、1000年以上前の歴史をもつ戦国絵巻。
また、「世界一の馬の祭典」ともいわれています。
毎年、3日間にわたり南相馬市の原町区で行われています。
Soma-Nomaoi is a festival that recreates a battle scene from
more than 1,000 years ago.
And it is called [The largest horse event in the world]
It is annually held for 3 days（ from July 27 to 29 2013）
in Haramachi-Minami Soma City,Fukushima .

甲冑の模様は、いろいろあってとっても、面白いです。
The decorations on the helmets are very interesting!
お馬さん達は、強くて立派ですね。
それから穏やかでチャーミング。
Horses seem strong and bold, they are equally soft and charming

Short trip to Deco House-Miharu
(Traditional Paper Craft)
今回は、福島県郡山市にある高柴デコ屋敷の紹介です。
Takashiba Deko House is a village in Koriyama City,
Fukushima Prefecture.
高柴デコ屋敷は、張り子の工人がいる4つの民家から成り立っています。
It consists of 4 houses
where people create papier-mâché (paper dolls)
江戸時代から、伝統工芸の中心地として栄えてきた高柴デコ屋敷。
今でも職人によって、色鮮やかな張り子人形やお面、三春駒（みはるこま）、三春だるまが作られています。
It has been a center of handicrafts
since the Edo era.
The craftsmen there still continue to make the colourful Miharu dolls, masks ,Miharu horses
and Miharu daruma (Bodhidharma effigy).

型の上に濡れた和紙を貼り付けます。
She weted coarse, handmade washi and pressed it
onto the molds.
型に和紙が貼られた後、ストーブの周りに型を置き表面を乾燥させます。
Once a mold is covered, it is placed around the heater
to dry the surface
「七転び八起き！」
豊かな伝統的価値や文化遺産を継承し、次世代につなげていきたいものですね。
